# Rosette maker

> Type a few month-end figures and engrave a guilloche rosette from them, the way every Truenote note draws one from its household's history. Each drawing has its own link and downloads as SVG.

An interactive page at https://usetruenote.com/tools/rosette (JavaScript). Enter three to 36 month-end figures, oldest first (a net worth, a balance, anything), or use the sample household, and it engraves a guilloche rosette from them. Each drawing has its own link and downloads as an SVG.

The figures are the query string: `https://usetruenote.com/tools/rosette?f=34681,34554,34848,35102` (whole dollars, comma-separated, oldest first). The same figures always draw the same rosette. Nothing is sent or kept.

## How it's drawn

Four rings of waves, each copied ten times a little out of phase. The figures set each ring's depths: the month-to-month moves set the lobes (a steady history draws shallow ones, big swings deep ones), and where each month stood between the lowest and highest sets the slow swell. Fewer than three figures draw the plain rosette. The geometry is `ringsFor` in Truenote's brand package, the same one the app draws a household's note with.

The sample household is the seeded one the home page prints its note from, no one's real money.
