Terms of service

The agreement between you and Zachery Gentry LLC for using Truenote.

Updated 2026-10-29

These terms are between you and Zachery Gentry LLC (“Truenote”, “we”), Austin, Texas. By making an account you agree to them.

The service

Truenote gathers your financial accounts (through Plaid, read-only) and the context you add, and makes them available to the AI agents and scripts you authorize over MCP and an API. It never moves money, and it can’t. It reports and projects; it does not give tax, legal, investment or financial advice (Not advice).

Your account

You must be 18 or older and give a real email address. Keep your passkeys and tokens to yourself; what happens under your account is yours. One person per account. Tell us at once if you think it’s been compromised.

What you may not do

Use Truenote for anything illegal; try to reach data that isn’t yours; probe, overload or reverse-engineer the service beyond what the API allows; resell access; or connect accounts you aren’t entitled to.

Billing

The plan is $12 a month or $100 a year, in US dollars, through Stripe. The first 14 days are free; you enter a card up front and it is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. We email a reminder three days before. Cancel any time in Settings → Billing; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Prices can change with 30 days’ notice by email; a change never applies to a period you’ve already paid. Refunds for a period already started are at our discretion, except where the law requires them.

If a payment fails, we’ll retry and tell you. After a grace period syncing stops, your banks are removed at Plaid, and your data is kept 30 days (export still works) and then deleted.

Your data

It’s yours. We hold it to run the service, as the privacy policy describes. You can export or delete it at any time. Agents you connect act under grants you approve; you’re responsible for what you let them do, and we show you every call they make.

Third parties

Bank connections depend on Plaid and on your institutions, which can fail, change or refuse at any time. Agents are provided by their makers under their own terms. We’re not responsible for either.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Truenote up but don’t promise it, and we can change or retire features. We’ll announce API changes in the changelog; /v1 changes are additive, with deprecations announced in advance.

Termination

You can delete your account any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where we can give it, and you’ll be able to export your data first unless the law prevents it.

Disclaimers and liability

Truenote is provided as is. We don’t warrant that it’s error-free or that any figure, projection or categorization is correct; check anything that matters before acting on it. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Law

Texas law applies; disputes go to the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas.
