Truenote

Your money, in the AI you already use.

Connect your accounts once. Then ask Claude or ChatGPT what's left after the bills, whether you'll owe in April, or when the vacation fund gets there.

Read-only to your banks. $12 a month or $100 a year after the trial; the sample household needs no account.

The sample household that ships with Truenote. Real seeded data, no one's real money.

How it works

The longer version
  1. 1

    Connect your accounts

Bank, card, loan and brokerage accounts, through Plaid. Balances every day, transactions as they post, holdings, what you owe. Truenote gets read access and nothing else: your bank login never reaches it.

  2. 2

Add what a bank can't tell

A spending plan. Savings buckets on one account. Goals. Each income source and what to set aside for taxes. Which business a charge belongs to. Typed in, or written by your agent as you talk.

  3. 3

    Connect an agent

Paste one URL into Claude or ChatGPT, or run one command for Claude Code. A consent screen shows what it may see; hide any account or business. New connections start read-only.

  4. 4

    Ask

What's left after the bills, whether you'll owe in April, when the vacation fund gets there. It answers from your own numbers and writes down what you decide.

Ask it what you'd ask a good bookkeeper

It answers from your accounts and your plan, and keeps them up to date when you tell it something.

  1. You

“How much is in the vacation bucket, and when does it reach $8,000?”

  2. Claude

$7,732, in Vacations on Joint Savings ··7730. The plan's Vacation / Travel line puts $346.15 in every payday, so it passes $8,000 on Friday, November 6.

  3. You

“From now on, put every Lowe's charge under Greenway Lawn.”

  4. Claude

Done. A rule puts Lowe's under Greenway Lawn from here on, and the 6 past charges ($788 since Nov 2025, on Harbor Rewards) moved with it. Nothing changed at the bank.

Claude over MCP, on the sample household. The figures are its real seeded data.
  • “Which bills hit before next payday, and what's left after them?”
  • “Will we owe this year? How much more should come out of each paycheck?”
  • “Are we on track for six months of runway before preschool starts?”
  • “Remember that we want to refinance below 5%.”

More in things to ask.

Printed in the code · not a setting

Truenote never moves money

Read-only, forever

No endpoint that moves money exists in the code. Agents write only Truenote's own records.

Sealed tokens

Plaid access tokens and your documents are sealed with AES-256-GCM, keys kept outside the database. Nothing returns them.

You decide what each agent sees

What it may read, which accounts stay hidden, whether it may write: on one page, changed in one click.

Yours to take out

Export everything as JSON or CSV. Delete the account and every bank is removed at Plaid too.

The security model, in plain words

Specimen · One plan · Everything included

One plan. Everything in it.

$12 a month

Or $100 a year, $44 less. 14 days free with a card up front; it converts unless you cancel, which takes one click.
